CHAPTER 15

Willow

I glance at my phone checking the clock and I realize I don't have very much time. I still need to leave a good amount of time so that I can convince Silas and my father what I'm about to do.

It's been several days since I was rescued. Lee is back at the compound with us, and he's acting as my personal guard. I laugh as I realize we trust him a lot more than we did Callum.

I was able to get my phone back last night, well not exactly my old phone but a new phone with the same number. At first the guys wanted to change the number, but what's the point. If Logan wanted the new number he'd figure out a way to get the damn thing, no matter what we tried to do.

I want to keep my own number anyway for my friends. I was able to talk to them a little bit last night, but not too much. The jokester Leo, God I love him so much, was the most worried. I imagine that Aaron and Wyatt have been keeping Taylor and Carly apprised of everything that's going on.

It's been daunting and kind of depressing being stuck here. They think the only way that I'm truly one-hundred-percent safe is if I'm locked in the compound. The only time I have privacy is when I go to the bathroom. Silas's with me at night, sleeping. Lee follows me around everywhere else. If it isn't Lee then it's somebody else. There's always a man watching and looking.

I quickly find an outfit that's suitable for today, comfortable, and make my way into the bathroom to get ready.

I smile at the fact that I can fully shower and be ready in under half an hour. There's too many things to do to waste time prepping myself. I understand it's good on occasion, but not every single day. I don't want to be that girl, Taylor can work it but not me.

They wouldn't let anybody come over the last several days. I know it's selfish of me to want that, but damn it I miss my friends. I need to see how they're doing, their school was attacked, too. I know the guys are concerned for them, especially Wyatt and Aaron. They won't even let Leo come over, they don't want my friends around me at all, or at the compound.

I wonder how they're going to deal with me today. I groan and put my head down looking at my feet. I don't know if I have enough energy to go through this emotional fight that we're about to have.

My friends let me know last night that school is opening again today. I guess all the renovations that my father paid for are done. It's been exactly three weeks since the incident happened.

Apparently there's going to be grief counselors and other shit there. I shake my head, I don't think a grief counselor would be enough for everything I've went through.
